This years Annual International Women’s Day Lunch featured some prominent females in local Saint Lucian society. Women of vastly different fields of endeavor united at the Bay Gardens Hotel under the common sentiment, of recognizing the outstanding contribution of women to society. The event was attended by the Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy and was sponsored by 1st National Bank.
The retreat called the Mother Daughter Link, hosted by the Division of Gender Relations was inspired by the unseen damage inflicted on the personal lives of many victims of hurricane Tomas, which struck St. Lucia in 2010. Soufriere and Font St. Jaques were the worst hit areas.
